We cannot forget to talk about Bwindi Impenetrable National Park home to the giant mountain gorillas and the Batwa community. Following the serenity of Queen Elizabeth National Park is also unique with its wildlife safaris, famous tree climbing lions of Ishasha, wildlife boat rides on the kazinga channel and fact it being named after Queen Elizabeth of England visited. Kibale Forest National Park also known as the primate capital has a number of primates that you would love to see. Fort portal town is also famous and home to Toro palace. The Big 5 safari if you would refer to it with a visit to Murchison Falls National Park which is the oldest park and with the most powerful water falls in the world and of course not forgetting its diversity in wild life and with Uganda’s Rhinos in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola in serenity of nature and beyond.

Itinerary

Day 1
Transfer from Entebbe International Airport to your Hotel in Entebbe or Kampala Accommodation Available: Budget, Mid-range and Luxury Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner You will be welcomed by our tour guide on arrival at Entebbe International Airport with a transfer your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala for an overnight. Optional Activity: visit Entebbe zoo also known as Uganda wild life education center, it has a number of animals that are exhibited in line to the animals that we have in our national parks. It’s amazing to sight animals like lions, buffalos, giraffes, chimpanzees, snakes, crocodiles, bird species like the African fish eagle, shoebills, African grey parrots, harmer cops, ostrich which is the biggest and fastest bird on land and so much more not forgetting monkeys like the velvets, Black & white colobus seen in the trees, pates monkeys, and many more

Day 2
Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park with a Stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Travel time from Kampala to Murchison falls is 6 – 7 hours Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner You will be picked up at from either Kampala or Entebbe and drive northwest of the Uganda to Murchison Falls. Through Kampala – Gulu road with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (3 hours’ drive). Seeing rhinos in their habitat and re-introduction sanctuary and wild home. The rangers will guide you to the Rhinos after a short brief where you will sight them from a distance and the experience is memorable watching the rhinos on foot. Then proceed to Nakasongola District for lunch after head to Murchison Falls National Park, check in at the park and drive to the lodge, relax as you wait for dinner at the lodge.

Day 3
Morning Game Drive in the Park, Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls & Hike the Top of the fall Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner You will wake up  for your early morning breakfast then head for the morning game drive which may be a good chance for sighting cats such as Lions and Leopard early morning. Animals such as the Buffaloes, Elephants Giraffes, Antelopes. Murchison Falls National Park has the south and northern sides which are divided by the Nile River. The northern part that is covered by savannah and woodland with a number of animals as opposed to the southern region which is mainly covered by forest. After lunch drive out for a 2-hour Launch Cruise on River Nile which sets off at Parra docking area, to the bottom of the Murchison Falls, you will sight various wild animals then proceed to the top of the falls for about 45 minutes with a scenic view of the falls along the trail. On reaching the top you will find your guide waiting to drive you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight. If your accommodation is on the southern side of the park you will board a ferry to the northern side for the game drive and back on the side of your accommodation

Day 4
Drive from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park Travel Time from Murchison falls to Kibale Forest National park is 7 – 8 hours. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner After your morning breakfast you will check out and on an 8-hour road trip to Kibale National Park. The road trip trails along the Albertine Rift Valley with a scenic view of the rift valley escarpment and the surrounding environment. You will make a stopover for lunch after which you will proceed to Kibale Forest national park, before reaching the park you go through Fort Portal town with a sight view of Mountain Rwenzori ranges, then check into the lodge, have dinner and overnight.

Day 5
Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park in the Morning & Afternoon Nature Walk in Bigodi Wetlands Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. After breakfast, you will transfer to the visitor information center at am to meet the ranger guides for registration and briefing about the trek, dos and don’ts during chimpanzee trekking experience. After briefing you will be divided into groups and each group depending on the number of people available shall be given a ranger. You will then trek into Kibale forest to track the Chimpanzees in their community settings. This trek can take about 3-4 hours and this also depending on chimps’ movements, Our highlight are the chimps as once you find them you will spend one-hour sighting and following the chimpanzee through the Kibale forest The park has other primate species such as vervet Monkeys, Colobus Monkey, Grey-cheeked Magarey and birds as well, Kibale forest national park has about 300 bird species hence being a good haven for birding. After the trek you will head back to the information center where your certificates will be handled over to you. After return to the lodge for lunch in the afternoon, later transfer to the Bigodi Wetlands on the eastern edge of Kibale forest in Bigodi swamp which is a good haven for birders. You will do the Swamp walk and the community walk. In the swamp walk, you will walk into the wetlands to sight of wildlife such baboons and other animals as well as birds. You will also have chance of sighting forest elephants and buffalos. After the swamp walk, you will have the community walk which is usually done by the local people or guides in the community. While in the community walk, you can also encounter local coffee processing, craft making and be taught how to make local beers through brewing.  You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
Drive from Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Morning & Game Drive Travel time from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park is 2 hours Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner After your early morning breakfast, drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park and embark on your game drive through Kasenyi Savannah Plains in the evening. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7
Morning Game Drive Savannah Plains, Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Evening Scenic Crater Drive Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner After your early morning breakfast, get ready to discover Kasenyi Savannah Plains sighting animals such as Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes, chance for Lions, and Hyenas and a diversity of different bird species. After the wildlife drive you shall drive back to the lodge. After lunch you shall do the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, expect to see more animals such as Hippos in a profusion of Crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes at the river banks and bird species in their natural habitat. Pictures would be memorable on the entire safaris. As you head back to the lodge, you will go through the scenic craters with in the beaten routes of Queen Elizabeth National Park and such spots are also memorable for pictures. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8
Travel time from the north of Queen Elizabeth to Ishasha sector is 2 – 3 hours Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner After having your morning breakfast, we shall transfer to the southern sector that is famous for tree climbing lions. Ishasha is also inhabited with animals such as elephants and antelopes and hyenas. Drive to the lodge in Ishasha for lunch, you will drive to Ishasha Sector on a game drive on the search for the tree climbing lions. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9
Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park . Travel time: 2 – 5 hours depending on the sector and lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner After breakfast, we shall drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, driving through Ishasha. You will stopover for lunch and later proceed to Bwindi arriving in the afternoon. Check into your accommodation and rest of the evening at leisure and then dinner.

Day 10
Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. After your morning breakfast, you will transfer to the briefing center for registration and briefs about dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After being registered to a gorilla group you will meet the ranger guide and start the trek into the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Rubber boots are essential on the trek. You will trek and hike through the forest before you come face to face with the giant gorillas, (Trekking can take 1 to 4 hours or less). After observe them for 1 hour and taking pictures on this memorable safari, you return to the center to pick your certificate and later meet the driver guide and transfer back to the lodge and overnight.

Day 11
Batwa Community Tour Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner After breakfast we shall encounter the Batwa Community. The Batwa natives of Bwindi from way back in the ancient days just like the Giant Mountain Gorillas. While on this encounter with the Batwa, we shall get to know more about how they used to hunt and life in the jungle and we shall further interact with them. Return to lodge for lunch and later dinner.

Day 12
Have breakfast then transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Kampala in the mood for lunch with a later transfer to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Travel time from Bwindi to Kampala is 7-8 hours. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 13
Transfer to the Airport Travel time to the airport depends on the accommodation booked and accommodation in Entebbe take a few minutes’ drive to the airport. Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch.
